Anti-Theft Website

If you live in the UK and have been a victim of theft, list your stolen items at It's Been NICKED. All items listed must have been reported stolen to the Police as, for your safety, the only contact details allowed are a Police incident number and Police contact phone number.

Scam Victims

If you have been a victim of a scam, send me your story and I will add it to the Scam Victims page. I won't include any personally identifiable information.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING THIS BLOG.

ALL of the lotteries, draws, compensation schemes, inheritances, payment agent jobs, mystery shopper jobs and business proposals involving large sums of money that you receive by email ARE SCAMS. NO ORGANISATION ANYWHERE EVER holds random email draws. They are ALL SCAMS. You CANNOT WIN a lottery or prize draw that you HAVE NOT ENTERED.
Please don't post comments asking me if the scams you have received are real. I can't answer them all and you KNOW they are scams!

COMPENSATION===

Unless I’m wrong, the British High Commission doesn’t have this kind of money to give away. If you receive an e-mail from them, delete it. It’s spam.

DEAR BELOVED, MY WARM GREETINGS!!!!!!!!!

Another “William Simon” Boo-hoo spam making the rounds again. This poor schmo was supposed to be dead months ago, but he apparently hasn’t come into his cool millions yet. But don’t worry! “William Simon” has no terminal illness, and nothing that a lobotomy and jail time wouldn’t cure. Just delete this spam and stay safe!

My Gratification

Oh my! Someone I’ve never met, let alone heard of is “returning a favor”??? Well, not! He wants me to buy his sappy sweet little story about all this money on an ATM card, but I don’t—not even for a nanno-second! If you receive one of these, delete it and leave our “gratification-seeker” frustrated!

PLEASE READ AND CALL ME AT +2348057959409c

Yes, this “letter” is truly “amazing”! It also smacks of arrogance and greed, full of lies and—spam! There is not one ounce of truth to this, because I nor any of the “undisclosed recipients” have some weird contract for inheritance. This sort of thing just doesn’t exist. So if you receive one of these, delete it and be safe.

Yes, this would be “a great opportunity” for “Crobo Mark Loan Firm” to bilk you out of your money. So, if you receive this, just delete it and go to your reputable bank for any loans you need.

You can make $100-$1000 EVERYDAY!!!! From Home

If this is such a sweet deal, you’d think it would be advertised all over, not just in some smarmy e-mail (“Dear Friend”). And beware of e-mails that start out this way—these spammers are not your friend! Put this spam where it belongs—in the recycle bin and don’t reply!

THE REAL TRUTH BEHIND YOUR INHERITANCE!$

“The Real Truth Behind Your Inheritance$?” You have none—not from the Central Bank of Nigeria, anyway. This spammer wants you to believe you have all this so-called “money”, and he’s hoping you’ll fall for his “nice guy” routine. If you receive one of these, delete it and let “Elvis” find a different “blues song” to sing!

Re: Your Compliance Is Needed

This is a spam e-mail. “Frank Chambers” is probably not “at JFK airport” as he claims, and he certainly has nothing of any importance for you. Do not “comply”, but delete this spam, thereby, grounding our spammer.

PAYMENT NOTIFICATION

Here is another twist on the old FBI spam. The FBI does not involve itself this deeply into monetary crimes—they uphold the law, they don’t break the law. They don’t send e-mails to ordinary citizens, and they don’t “release funds”—they aren’t bankers. While the address looks legit, there is no doubt that it’s forged, and anyone can forge addresses and headers. If you receive one of these, just delete it.

MRS.ALICE KABORE

My God! I thought either my eyes were playing tricks on me or that something had happened to the computer—this spammer must think that “her” intended spam victims are either almost blind or “she” really wants to grab your attention! At any rate, none of what “she” says is true—not even “I apologized”. There is no money, but ol’ Alice is sure hoping you’ll give her your money. And of course, she doesn’t want [Continue reading MRS.ALICE KABORE]
