PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING THIS BLOG.
ALL of the lotteries, draws, compensation schemes, inheritances, payment agent jobs, mystery shopper jobs and business proposals involving large sums of money that you receive by email ARE SCAMS. NO ORGANISATION ANYWHERE EVER holds random email draws. They are ALL SCAMS. You CANNOT WIN a lottery or prize draw that you HAVE NOT ENTERED.
Please don't post comments asking me if the scams you have received are real. I can't answer them all and you KNOW they are scams!
I haven’t posted a scam bank email for a while. I get so many of them that I’m afraid I can’t be bothered to post most of them. But I thought I’d post this one – as a reminder that you should never click on a link in a bank email – even if it appears to come from your bank. Always enter the address of [Continue reading Your HSBC Messages]
You know what they say – “the old ones are the best”. This scammer thought he’d change a few things – so the “Late Engr” has had a name change. This time he’s called “Fernando Sergio Morales” instead of Jurgen Krugger. (If you don’t believe me, take a look at this post) Apart from that, the text is the same.
If you make the mistake of replying, you will find yourself being asked for [Continue reading No Subject]
“Randy Bobst” got bored one day and decided to make up a fake lottery email. He couldn’t be bothered to give his email a subject line and he couldn’t be bothered to give his fake lottery company a name. He appears to be a student at Jadavpur University – clearly not one of the brighter ones. My suggestion is that “Randy Bobst” should pay more attention to his studies.

A reader forwarded me this scam. Mr Vilakazi Dandala clearly doesn’t want me to reproduce the text of his scam on a blog like this – so he sent it as a pdf. Sorry Mr Dandala – here it is below. Yes, Mr Vilakazi Dandala is a scammer. He couldn’t even be bothered to tell me who “one of the greatest philanthropists of this country” was – or indeed which country he is talking [Continue reading pls view]
“Mrs Moyo” doesn’t have millions of dollars to share with you – she’s a scammer who wants to get her hands on your money. If you make the mistake of replying she will start asking you to pay “fees”. Ignore this scammer.
Goodday, My name is Mrs Anita Moyo, I am the wife of late Mr Sipho Moyo who was murdered in a land dispute in ZIMBABWE .My late husband was among [Continue reading FROM MRS ANITA MOYO (URGENT NEED)]
A reader forwarded me this scam. The UK National Lottery don’t hold random email draws. The only way to enter the National Lottery is to buy a ticket. If you win, they don’t contact you (they don’t know who you are), you need to contact them. Why, I wonder, does this scammer think the FBI (An American organisation) would need to investigate claims – we do have a Police force of our own!
This [Continue reading VERIFICATION OF CLAIM]
A reader contacted me to tell me that he was trying to raise some venture capital for a business project. He told me that his project was posted on a number of forums and that he had been contacted by many scammers. Most he rejected immediately, but he was concerned about one person who contacted him claiming to be a reputable firm.
Thomas Duffy of Venture Capital International makes claims on his site about [Continue reading Venture Capital International – Thomas Duffy]
A reader forwarded me this scam with the comment that she “”Larry” is a “Wolfe” in Loan Scammers’ clothes!” She’s quite right. ”Mr Wolfe” doesn’t want to lend you anything – he’s a thief not a money lender – he wants to take your money by charging you fees for your non-existent loan. Ignore him.
Hello,
I am Mr. Larry L. Wolfe a private Loan lender and a cooperate financial for real estate and [Continue reading Loan Offer at 2% Interest Rate!!!]
“Nate Anderson” asks me if I’d like $1.7m to pay off my debts. How kind of him. Why on earth would the United Nations send me that kind of money, completely out of the blue for no good reason? They wouldn’t. And they aren’t going to send it to you either. This is a scammer who doesn’t want to send you anything, but wants to steal your money by charging you fees. Just delete [Continue reading No Subject]
THERE’S NO NEED TO SHOUT AT ME – I CAN READ YOU KNOW!!! This scammer seems to think that if s/he writes her scam story in capital letters it might somehow sound more believable. I can’t imagine why. Why on earth would the IMF want to send me $6.8m?? I thought the world was in financial crisis.
This is a scammer – who is hoping you will have a financial crisis and start sending [Continue reading COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN PAYMENT © 2009]
