I agree. A few years ago a similar email came my way. Being in a financial bind I succumbed to the carrot that was dangling before me of a lottery and sure enough it was a scam, though I tried for anything is possible. I became involved in actively trying several email scams from representing a company or individual here in the USA. They all wanted me to pay a fee upfront first even though they promised me a bunch. When I came to my senses I began to research scams. I ended up writing a self-help guide on how to, how not to, what to do if, and who to contact if. I comprised data from agencies of the USA, Canada, the UK, and Interpol. The book is called 'Scammers Among Us Beware' published by Eloquent Books. It cam be viewed and purchased on EloquentBooks.com, Amazon.com, BN.com, Borders.com, and Bookers.com. Check it out for it just might save you your bankroll. Thank you.

Lol

So they don't know your name:

"Attn: Email Bearer,"

But they want to check you are the right person!

"vetting process which is a standard practice just to ensure that we are dealing with the right individual"
