PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING THIS BLOG.
ALL the lotteries, draws, compensation schemes, inheritances, payment agent or mystery shopper jobs and business proposals offering huge sums of money are SCAMS. You CAN'T WIN a lottery or prize draw you HAVEN'T ENTERED.
Please don't post comments asking if the SCAMS you have received are real.
PLEASE DON'T LEAVE YOUR PERSONAL DETAILS IN A COMMENT ASKING SCAMMERS TO CONTACT YOU (yes, people really do this regularly!)
A reader forwarded me this scam and commented that she’d heard of people donating books, clothes and even money, but she had never heard of anyone donating their faith.
The only “donation” “Mrs Jones” wants to make is a donation from you to her. She’s a scammer – and she’s hoping you will send her your hard earned cash.
If you make the mistake of replying you will find that “Mrs Jones” is very [Continue reading DONATION OF FAITH]
DO NOT OPEN THIS ATTACHMENT. I have no idea what it contains, but I’d be willing to bet that it is a nasty piece of spyware.
If you did send a parcel on 26 December, and you think there really might be a problem then phone your local branch of UPS.
Hello!
Unfortunately we failed to deliver the postal package you have sent on the 26th of December in time because the [Continue reading Subject:UPS Delivery Problem NR 57373]
I knew this was a scam before I even opened it. How? Because of the increasing tendency by scammers to address their potential victims as “dear”. I’m NOT your “dear” – you don’t even know me.
This is a scammer – who has no intention of “helping the helpless” – the only person she wants to help is herself – to your money.
The attachment came out looking as if it was written in [Continue reading Hi dear]
Ignore the title of this email. DO NOT “apply now”. Don’t apply at all. Genuine mystery shopping organisations do not send out thousands of random emails saying they have an assignment “in your area”. Which, when you think about it, means they don’t know who you are or where you are.
This is a scammer. One who wants to take your cash. If you want to know how these scam mystery shopping assignments work, [Continue reading Mystery Shopping Available!!Apply Now]
You have to give this scammer credit for imagination. This scam was forwarded to me by a reader – one who was finding it hard to stop laughing. Why was she laughing? This scammer is, allegedly, called “Betty Belly” and she lives in the very aptly named “New Brainless” – probably a newly established town for scammers. (With apologies to anyone who really does live in New Brainless – I couldn’t find it on [Continue reading HELLO FRIEND STOP CONTACTING THOSE PEOPLE.]
This scammer wins the prize for the best name. Dr.Caravan Marvis. I’ve been itching to award this prize for a long time – but I think we have a true winner here. (And my humble apologies to anyone unfortunate enough to really have been given the name Dr.Caravan Marvis.)
I’m sure you realise this is just a scam. Why on earth would the UN suddenly decide to send you $500k? They wouldn’t – and [Continue reading Greetings to you]
Ok – so why would someone you’ve never heard of write to tell you they have breast cancer – oh yes, and want to discuss something with you?
They would do it for one reason only – to try to scam you out of money. This is just a scammer – who wants to tell you a sob story and then try to take money from you by charging you fees. Don’t even reply. [Continue reading Hello]
If this email really did come from FedEx (which it doesn’t), then it would be none of their business to know what was inside my parcel. And if the United Nations really did ow me $890k, do you think they’d send me a cheque – by courier? Of course they wouldn’t. I can think of no reason why the UN would owe me, or you , or anyone money. If they did, they would [Continue reading Alert Delivery Update]
Tell me the old, old story. You know the one – barrister finds rich client has deceased leaving large amount of money. Surprise!!! I have the same last name – so do you – so does everyone of the thousands of people this email was sent to. Sound believable? Of course not.
