This was submitted as a comment, but I decided to promote it and give it a post of its own. This is the classic scam where the scammer sends you a payment (in this case anything from 2000 – 10,000 Euros) and then asks you forward most of the money to a third party. Within days the original payment is withdrawn by your bank as being fraudulent, leaving you out of pocket to the scammers.

No company anywhere ever hires an unknown person to process payments. These jobs are ALL scams.

This bit of rubbish was forwarded to me by a friend. Ms Lundgren uses a hotmail email address and can’t even be bothered to make up the name of a recruitment company to claim to represent.

The only jobs going are for scam victims. If you make the mistake of replying, this scammer will start pretending to send you money. You will then be asked to forward some of it to an associate only to find the original payment withdrawn by your bank as being fraudulent and leaving you out of pocket.

My sister forwarded me this scam. In fact she sent me 7 – all with similar titles, all with exactly the same content and all with slightly different email addresses – someone@bg-bestoffer.com

I looked up the domain gb-bestoffer.com – it was registered today by someone in Moscow.

I hope you realise this is a scam. There is no job, just a team of scammers who are after your money. If you make the mistake of replying you will be asked either to send the scammer money, or you will be sent a fake cheque or payment and asked to forward the balance to an associate of the scammer.

Edit I used an online email address to pretend to be interested in the job. The reply had a job description attached, which included this text:

“When it is necessary you as the company representative,will indicate your bank account as the company’s account and will receive money.Then finance and investment department will instruct you on how to process theincoming amounts of money.”

This is the classic payment processor scam. You believe money has been paid into your bank account. You are instructed to forward some of it to an associate of the scammer. The original payment is then withdrawn, leaving you out of pocket and with no way of recovering the money.

If you want a hotel job in London, apply to a reputable agency, don’t answer random emails.

They will then ask you to forward most of it to somewhere else. A reader sent me this scam. She says “I recently received this email offering me a job, my details had been accessed via a cv I posted online. I was curious and replied to the first email but became suspicious when the second email requested my online bank login!
The second email appeared to be from a company address and the links to the website are real-the website is quite convincing.
Fortunately I Googled the post when I became suspicious and didn’t proceed any further.”

The website is a fake. It’s not the first time I’ve seen a similar site. It was registered on 23 August 2010. Three is no such company as “Monet UK Group” and no company anywhere ever employs payments processing agents. To see how these scams work, read the Scam Victims page of this site.

Without too much effort I found several similar sites, all presumably produced by the same group of scammers:

Kraft Foods don’t send out random emails to employ random people. They certainly don’t need any “receiving payments agents”. They are a large company and well able to handle payments by themselves, without your help or mine.

This scammer tells me I can earn “extral money”. I’m still wondering what “extral money” is.

If you look at the website that “David Moore” claims to represent you will see that it is a (legitimate) directory of wholesalers. It doesn’t sell anything.

“David Moore” isn’t looking for representatives to handle payments – he is a scammer who is looking for a victim to steal money from.

Meanwhile – ignore this scammer. If you make the mistake of replying you will find a fake amount of money deposited into your bank account. You then forward 90% of this to the scammer – only to find the original deposit is withdrawn and you have no way of recovering the money you sent to the scammer.
