According to the BBC website US troops found hundreds of millions of dollars in Iraq in 2003 (they did). The news report adds that 5 soldiers were being questions after some of the money was believed to have been stolen.
Cue our scammer. What a golden opportunity. Our (fake) soldier can claim he stole some of the money. He didn’t – for the simple reason that he isn’t a soldier and didn’t serve in Iraq. It’s not the Iraqi people he wants to steal from, it’s you. He wants to take your money by way of advance fees.
