Receipt for your payment to Play and Connect Ltd

This is a fake PayPal receipt, but it could easily be mistaken for a real one. How do I know it’s a fake?
a) It doesn’t include my registered PayPal username

b) I didn’t buy the goods listed on the receipt

The scammer wants you to panic and click on the cancel transaction link.  This is the giveaway.  This link doesn’t take you to the real PayPal website but to a site with this address: http://65.254.65.214/cgi-bins/webscr.htm?cmd……

This is the scammer’s site, where I’m asked for my PayPal login information.  If you click on the login button on this page it takes you to www.iolfree.ie – definitely not the address of the PayPal website.

I hope you know that you should NEVER click on a link in a PayPal email. Always enter the address of the Paypal website directly into your browser.

If you have really bought the item stated, you will find it in your account history.

IF you think you might have accidentally clicked on the fake PayPal links and given your account information to the scammer, contact PayPal immediately.
