I’ve had a spate of fake UPS Delivery emails.  Apparently I failed to receive parcels on a variety of dates in Dec 2009 and January 2010.  You might wonder why it would take UPS until the middle of April to let me know???

The reason is simple.  There were no parcels.  DON’T OPEN THE ATTACHMENT.  It contains a Trojan that will infect your computer with fake virus alerts.  I spent several hours removing it from a friend’s computer a few weeks ago.

Just delete these emails.  If by any chance you really are expecting a parcel from UPS – phone them.

because the recipient’s address is not correct.
Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our department.

    Well, add to the above the following additional message (slight twist, though the same):

    From: Postal Manager Katrina Mcpherson
    Subject: UPS Delivery Problem NR 70432.
    Message: Dear customer!

    We were not able to deliver postal package you have sent on the 28th of February in time
    because the recipient’s address is incorrect.
    Please print out the invoice copy attached and collect the package at our office.
