Can’t be bothered to go to university?  Too lazy to study?  Thick as two short planks?  Don’t worry.  Anyone can have a university degree, according to Sheila Landry.  Yes.  You too can be a research scientist, even if you left school without a single GCSE.  Go for it.  No-one will notice that you don’t have a clue what you are talking about.

Do you get the feeling I’m being cynical?  You’re right.  I am.  And so should you be.  The only “verifiable” University Degree is a real one.  Although there will always be a few cases of employers who fail to verify qualifications, most do.  And all (real) universities keep full records of who their graduates are.

Don’t waste your money paying for a worthless piece of paper.  If you need a qualification – got to college.  Believe me, the knowledge you gain there will be worth the time and work.
