Clearly spelling isn’t high on this scammer’s list of priorities.  In a short space of time I have received notices that my “Federal Tax Payment” or “Feedral Tax Payment”  has been rejected.  One tells me that this is “ugrent” (that gets today’s prize for best made-up word)

EFTPS online is, I’m told –  the”esaiest” – or the “easeist” or even the “eaisest” way to pay my “fedreal” or “feedral” or “fdeeral” taxes online.  Notice that all those variations of each word contain the same letters.  A sort of Scrabble game for scammers.

One email contains the stern warning that I am “uisng an Offciial” US government site. Another tells me to be sure that the information I have “subimtted is corerct” and that I should “Pelase conatct” their scam website. Yet another tells me the “nmuber you etnered” isn’t valid.

I’m sure I don’t need to go any further for you to see that these are all scams – written by an illiterate idiot.

NEVER click on a link in an email that appears to come from any government departmetn (I don’t even live in the USA). ALWAYS enter the address of an official website directly into your browser.
