CIBC – personal verification questions

As a UK resident I had to look to see who CIBC are.  They are a Canadian bank.  As with all bank emails, NEVER click on a link in one.  ALWAYS enter the address of your bank’s website directly into your browser.  If you read this one carefully, you will see that all the text, until the last sentence, is copied directly from the bank website.  It is written in grammatical English.  The last sentence is the giveaway – it has been added.  

I wonder if any scammer has ever considered writing a scam in proper English?  There seems to be a particular style of incorrect English which is always used.  Has someone done a survey to find which writing style is most likely to con people?
