Fake Domain Renewal Notice – Joe Miller

If you own a domain name – for your business or for personal use, perhaps so you can have a personalised email address, you might receive one of these scam messages, which I’ve copied and pasted below (and removed the links).

These are scams and do not come from your domain registrar. This is a scammer who wants to steal your money and possibly your credit card details.

And this is the message I received:

We have not received your payment for the renewal of your domain yourdomain.com

We have made several attempts to reach you by phone, to inform you regarding the TERMINATION of your domain yourdomain.com

IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR PAYMENT WITHIN 24 HOURS, YOUR DOMAIN yourdomain.com WILL BE TERMINATED
