A variation on a theme here.  No failure of the bank software, no warning about illegal attempts to access my account, no – just a statement.  Note the complete absence of information – opening balance = ****, closing balance = ****.  Just visit the scammer’s fake site, input your personal information and hey presto – the scammers can find out your real balance and then help themselves to it!  If I do click on one of the links (don’t try this at home folks!) this is the web address I am taken to http://210.143.111.82/~admin/.cgi/.n0f.  Not the address of the Alliance and Leicester.

Never click on a link in a bank email.  Just delete the email.
