This is for your attention

Oh look.  Yet another rich, long lost, (non) relative has died leaving me mega millions.  First I’m told that “you were listed as a beneficiary” and then I’m told that “I contacted you because you bear the surname identity”.  So now I’m being told that I wasn’t listed as a beneficiary!!!  Confused?  So is the scammer.

Yes – it’s a scam.  No-one who doesn’t even know you is going to randomly send you millions of pounds.  This scammer just wants to take money from you by charging you fees for your (non existant) millions.

Delete the email and don’t reply.

I wish to notify you again that you were listed as a beneficiary to the total
sum of £15,600,000.00GBP (Fifteen million Six hundred thousand British
pounds)in the codicil and last testament of the deceased. (Name now withheld
since this is our second letter to you).I contacted you because you bear the
surname identity and therefore can present you as the beneficiary to the
inheritance. I therefore reckoned that you can receive these funds as you are
qualified by your name identity.
