Message to everyone who entered pch, go into it with your eyes open as have I, don’t use your life’s troubles to justify entering these sweeps contests, like anything contest related with a prize there are odds for winning, lotto is the same way. reading thru all these comments what is missing is the people who were lucky enough to win, what did it take and like some have suggested is pch discriminating in it’s awarding prize money? Or like they claim do they or don’t they really know the outcome?
We live in a skeptical world people filled with many who have unfortunate lives, when we get involved with things like this (and yes I do too) we become gullible and hope beyond reasoning that we can win and of course in the most extreme circumstances some one will, billion to one odds or not. I’d like to emphasize the importance to many out there, don’t let yourself become vulnerable to these things that pch offers, because it’s just that, it’s an offer, a contest, that’s it. But remember never give out money or precious information when approached by strangers looking to take advantage and they are out there. I can’t defend pch’s practices but like life it’s your free will to take part. Some think the actual winners had some inside trick, I doubt that, again the odds are what they are, for those who gamble this should be obvious. It’s sad to see too many people letting themselves get taken by bogus sharks calling and mailing people who really don’t know how to handle these situations, one can only hope they have family or friends who can advise them. Again what about the real winners, I always wondered was there something that I missed regarding the giveaways, like the time factor between them or again are the “odds” pch quotes improper, guess we’ll never know, all the more reason to proceed with caution folks, good luck to all.

I tried about 10 years ago– my wife was the impetus for it – she bought what we could and that was a lot of magazines and the stuff — like chains– and we kept getting these “enter you have a gold ticket,Platinum ticket and you are in the running — we got ripped off about the money winners and stopped– don’t fall for this crap youakll never win- do you notice that everyone has a housw in these commercials??

There have been quite a number of these “win for life” sweepstake winners that have died unexpectedly within a couple of years of winning. There is a reason that you won’t see an ad for PCH showing a reunion of all of the past “win for life” winners. They only will run the moment that someone wins which is all of that they need for promotional purposes. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that you save quite a bit of money if something happens and the winners are not around to keep receiving the $5K a week/$260K a year.

You people are seriously not very bright if you think for one minute that you win money and have to pay something for it. If they ask for money or for you to contact them its a scam. If you are going to win anything do you think that they will pick someone that they donot even know weather they exist. If your going to win anything the company will already have your info because you gave it to them and asked to be entered to win. So if you entered to win a million dollars at a grocery store last year and you get contacted that you won. you will know when you get contacted when and where you entered and they won’t ask for money or information that is not necesary. They will say something Like we would like to confirm you address/phone number and they will proceed to say or write in a letter/email the info you put down when you entered to win. Also if any of care PCH is a leggit company that does give money away in real drawing that can be entered online or by snailmail. But they do NOT force you into an order that you did not want when you checked out YOU had to confirm Payment by credit card or Debit card or whatever form of payment you chose. So to say they said you ordered something you didn’t we don’t care you are trying to convince yourself of your lies, just admit it you thought if you ordered something they might see fit to let you win. Yeah that’s what happened and guess what your not the first a lot of people do it, and they regret ordering the junk they sell just like you cuz they didn’t win either. The chance of winning through PCH is about 1/10 of that of the actual Lotto with one ticket. people do win just they collect entries for months before the drawings, Lotto collects for 1 day or in some cases upto what, a week. How many entries do think go into a drawing at PCH before the Drawing compared to the Lotto. Delete the Phishing/Spam emails and get on with life we all have better things to do than hope on an imposabilities. Hope I spelled everything right cuz I ain’t proof reading it.

yes, I fell for the daily come-ons…scrolled down thru their list of items for sale…and when I tried to log out…it says that I had ordered about $56 worth of products…I tried every way I could to find a phone number, support, curtomer service, etc. at PCH to try to stop the order from shipping…zippo…now I will have to “refuse” the shipment when it arrives. Bummer!

If it is PCH, it is because you bought something from them and are on their list, or you have gone directly to their web site, that is a real thing and they will come to your door but do not ask for any money! They have been around for many years. Check them out at PCH.com
Edit by admin: The Publishers Clearing House exists, as do Microsoft, Windows, Yahoo and many other organisations who the scammers claim are awarding prizes. If you visit the PCH website you will see that you have to ENTER the sweepstake in order to win. As it it says at the top of this blog “You CAN’T WIN a lottery or prize draw you HAVEN’T ENTERED”.
An unsolicited email claiming you have won a sweepstake/prize draw that you haven’t entered is always a scam – as is the original email posted here. I didn’t enter a PCH draw, therefore I cannot have won.
