YOUR ATM CARD!! (CALL TO CONFIRM)
In the “virtual” world of the scammers anything is possible. Dr Abiodun Abiola claims to be writing on behalf of the Senate House, Federal Republic of Nigeria. But. He uses a Hong Kong email address. Stranger still, the email was sent from The Czech Republic. He does have a Nigerial phone number. Do you smell something phishy going on here?
Of course you do. “Mr Abiola” is a scammer. His email can’t even decide whether you have been “choosen” to receive an inheritance or a contract!! There is no money. You haven’t been awarded anything. Mr Abiola wants to get his hands on your money, by way of advance fees for an ATM card that doesn’t exist. He might also be interested in identity theft, judging from the information he asks for.
Just delete the email, don’t reply and don’t phone him.If you prefer to get your own back on the scammers, install Spam Bully. Highly effective spam filter for Outlook, Windows Mail and Outlook and includes a “get back at the scammers” feature.
