Many of the scam emails that are sent contain malware as an attachment. I am like an over-anxious mother with my own laptop. I scan it regularly for malware. I also scan it if it starts to behave strangely or its performance deteriorates.
Below are a selection of security products that I either use personally or recommend from experience with my own clients.
Malwarebytes. My number one MUST HAVE.
I install it on every computer I’m called out to. (I’m a computer troubleshooter and IT teacher)
This is the program that I recommend EVERYONE should scan their computer with if they think they might have accidentally opened an infected attachment or clicked on a link to an infected website.
