If you are a Paypal user, be very careful about emails that appear to come from Paypal. NEVER click on a link in a Paypal email. ALWAYS enter the address of the Paypal website directly into your browser. If you have made the payment claimed, or have the problem claimed, you will see details in your Paypal account. If you are in any doubt, contact Paypal directly.
If you think you might have given details of your Paypal account to a scammer, log into the REAL Paypal website and change your password IMMEDIATELY. Then let Paypal know what has happened.
Here are three Paypal spoofs I received in the last couple of days:
1) You have an Instant Payment of ?66.52 GBP
If I point my mouse at one of the links in the email (don’t click) this is the web address you will see displayed at the bottom left of your screen. It isn’t the address of the Paypal website.
